Morning Training & Day School Program

Etobicoke FC is developing a new High Performance Morning Training & Day School Program designed for dedicated players who want an elevated, daily training environment that supports both academic success and elite player development.

Built to align with Canada Soccer / Ontario Soccer development standards and Etobicoke FC’s long-term pathway, this program will combine morning high-performance training, a structured school-day learning model, and integrated player support—helping athletes grow technically, tactically, physically, and mentally in a professional setting.


What to Expect

High Performance Morning Training
Players will train in a focused morning environment emphasizing:

  • Technical mastery under pressure
  • Position-specific development
  • Tactical understanding and game intelligence
  • Speed, strength, movement quality, and injury prevention
  • High standards, consistent feedback, and performance habits

Monday–Friday Daily Schedule (High Performance Program)

Time Block Development Focus / What Players Do
8:00 AM – 11:00 AM High Performance Morning Training Position-specific technical training, small-group skill work, game-based scenarios, speed & movement prep, injury prevention, and weekly individual targets (IDPs).
11:15 AM – 12:15 PM Lunch / Recovery Nutrition break, hydration, downtime, and guided recovery habits (mobility, stretching, mental reset).
12:30 PM – 3:30 PM Day School / Class Time (Grades 6+) Ontario board-certified teachers deliver curriculum-aligned learning blocks, structured class time, assignments, and progress check-ins.
3:45 PM – 4:45 PM After-School Tutoring Program Homework support, subject help, study skills, test prep, and teacher-guided catch-up time to stay on track academically.
5:00 PM – 6:30 PM Evening Academy Training Team-based academy session: tactical principles, team model work, functional training by unit/position, match prep, and competitive play.

 

Day School / Academic Alignment
The academic component will provide a stable, structured learning environment designed to balance performance and education.

  • Grades 6+ academic curriculum will be taught by board-approved, Ontario Certified Teachers.
  • Clear academic expectations and support resources
  • Balance between training load, recovery, and learning

Integrated Player Development Support
The program is being built with a full-player approach, including:

  • Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and goal-setting
  • Regular assessment and progress tracking
  • Communication between coaching staff, families, and school support
  • Safe Sport–aligned environment and athlete wellbeing focus
